Its main mission is to benefit society by doing research and applied innovation on <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improving the safety of AI systems, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improving the interactions between AI systems and society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Systems research is typically a multi-disciplinary process, and can have a range of possible outputs. The main current activity of Holtman Systems Research is to participate in the creation of formal technical standards for AI systems. We target both world-wide AI standards and European AI standards in the context of the EU AI Act, mainly by participating in the CEN-CENELEC JTC 21 committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We offer independent technology and policy consulting services, with a focus on the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current AI technology and its impact on society<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speculative future AI technology and its impact on society<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cyber-physical and socio-technical systems safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI regulation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-stakeholder requirements elicitation for socio-technical systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The services we offer range from private consulting, on projects compatible with our mission, to making independent contributions to the public, academic, and policy debates about AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently Holtman Systems Research is not looking for new customers.
